A comforting casserole layered with tortillas, seasoned ground beef, creamy beans, and gooey cheese, perfect for family gatherings or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • Flour tortillas
  • Seasoned ground beef
  • Refried beans
  • Sour cream
  • Cooked rice
  • Melted cheese
  • Favorite toppings (like chopped tomatoes, avocado, olives, and cilantro)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté the seasoned ground beef in a skillet until browned.
  3. Layer flour tortillas at the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  4. Spread a layer of refried beans over the tortillas.
  5. Add the cooked ground beef evenly over the refried beans, then add rice and a dollop of sour cream.
  6. Top with melted cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Cool slightly and garnish with your favorite toppings before serving.

Notes

Use sturdy tortillas to prevent tearing. Add veggies for extra nutrition and spice it up with jalapeños.
