Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 medium apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease your baking pan.
  5. Punch down the risen dough, roll it out onto a floured surface to fit your greased pan.
  6. Arrange the apple slices evenly over the dough, sprinkle with cinnamon, and drizzle with caramel and melted butter.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before slicing and serve warm, with extra caramel if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use bread flour instead of all-purpose flour. Adjust toppings as desired.
