  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix flour, softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in mini chocolate chips.
  3. Press dough into the prepared pan and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth, gradually add sugar. Mix in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla and sour cream.
  5. Pour cheesecake batter over the baked cookie dough and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the center is set.
  7. Cool slightly and drizzle melted chocolate chips over the top.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is well-softened. Chilling helps the bars firm up for easier cutting.
