Instructions

  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  5. Using a cookie press or piping bag, shape the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Sprinkle with colorful sugar or add chocolate if desired.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cool on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
