A comforting pasta dish with tender chicken in a creamy sauce, perfect for family dinners and cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 24 ounces Marinara Sauce
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1.5 pounds Chicken Breast
  • 12 ounces Pasta (Penne or Rigatoni)
  • 1.5 cups Mozzarella Cheese
  • 0.5 cups Parmesan Cheese
  • Parsley for Garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then add them to the pan. Cook each side for about 5-7 minutes until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot and add your chosen pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving a little pasta water for later if needed.
  3. Pour in the marinara sauce into the same skillet used for the chicken. Bring it to a gentle simmer, adding in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Stir everything together, letting the flavors meld for about 5 minutes.
  4. Mix the cooked pasta and sliced chicken into the sauce, ensuring every piece is enveloped in that creamy goodness. If the sauce seems too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Sprinkle in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and beautifully incorporated into the sauce.
  6. Serve your creamy chicken mozzarella pasta hot, garnished with fresh parsley for that lovely pop of color and freshness.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing or lemon juice beforehand. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze in portions.
