A warm and comforting creamy rice pudding that brings back nostalgic memories of simpler times and family gatherings.

  • 4 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine rice, milk, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring frequently, until thick and creamy, about 30-45 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and cinnamon. If desired, add raisins.
  4. Serve warm or chilled.

Notes

Stir often to prevent sticking; add more milk if pudding gets too thick. Experiment with flavors like almond extract or cocoa powder.
