Deliciously crispy taquitos filled with tender, seasoned chicken and creamy cheese. Perfect for a quick meal or snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
  • 10 small flour or corn tortillas
  • Oil for frying or cooking spray for baking
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, guacamole

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) if you’re planning to bake the taquitos.
  2. Mix together the shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and taco seasoning until well combined.
  3. Spoon a small amount of the mixture onto each tortilla and roll them tightly to secure the filling.
  4. If frying, heat oil in a skillet and fry each taquito until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. If baking, spray the taquitos with cooking spray and bake for 15-20 minutes or until crisp and golden.
  5. Serve hot with your choice of toppings like sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider baking instead of frying. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
