Deliciously crispy cheese straws infused with rosemary and garlic, perfect for a snack or gathering.

  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry (Thawed)
  • 1 large Egg (Beaten for egg wash)
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese (Freshly grated)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (Sea salt recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Rosemary (Chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (Or fresh minced garlic)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare your puff pastry by rolling it out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Combine the Parmesan cheese, rosemary, salt, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  4. Brush the pastry surface with the beaten egg and sprinkle the cheese mixture over half.
  5. Fold the pastry in half to cover the cheese and press lightly to seal.
  6. Cut the pastry into thin strips (about 1/2 inch wide) and twist each strip.
  7. Arrange the twisted straws on a baking sheet and brush with more egg wash.
  8. Bake for about 12-15 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider substituting rosemary with thyme or adding cayenne for spice.
