Creamy and cheesy scalloped potatoes slow-cooked to perfection in a crockpot, offering comforting flavors reminiscent of family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom of your crockpot.
  2. Mix together the heavy cream, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Pour half of the creamy mixture over the layered potatoes.
  4. Sprinkle half of the chopped onions and half of the shredded cheese on top.
  5. Repeat the layering process with the remaining sliced potatoes, pouring the rest of the creamy mixture over them.
  6. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a make-ahead option, prepare everything the night before and pop it in the crockpot in the morning.
