A moist and creamy yogurt cake that brings back memories of love and warmth from childhood baking sessions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine yogurt, sugar, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve with fresh fruits, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
