Delightful cream puffs filled with ube-infused cream, perfect for celebrations and indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup ube (purple yam) puree
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil. Add flour and salt, stirring until a ball forms.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly, then beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  4. Pipe small mounds of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until puffed and golden.
  6. Whip heavy cream, then mix in ube puree, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  7. Once puffs are cool, cut a small hole in each, fill with ube cream, and serve.

Notes

For best results, ensure eggs are at room temperature before use. Store unfilled puffs in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
