Easy Manicotti

A nostalgic dish featuring tender manicotti shells filled with a creamy mixture of cheeses and optional spinach or meat, topped with marinara sauce.

  • 12 manicotti shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup Fontina cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup ground meat (optional)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the manicotti shells according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Mix together ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Fontina cheese, chopped spinach (if using), and ground meat (if using). Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stuff each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Arrange the stuffed manicotti in the baking dish and cover with more marinara sauce.
  7. Drizzle with olive oil on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
