A flavorful Greek steak marinade that infuses your meat with the essence of the Mediterranean, perfect for grilling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, and salt until well combined.
  2. Choose your favorite cut of steak—flank, sirloin, or ribeye—and place it in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the excess marinade. Grill or pan-sear the steak to your desired doneness, approximately 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  5. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing to ensure every bite is juicy.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add crushed red pepper to the marinade. If fresh lemon juice isn’t available, store-bought can be used, but fresh is best.
