A versatile marinade that combines the zest of lime and orange with soy sauce and garlic, perfect for elevating a variety of meats.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together lime juice, orange juice, soy sauce, and olive oil in a bowl until fully blended.
  2. Add minced garlic, ground cumin, chili powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Place the meat in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
  4. Pour the marinade over the meat and ensure it’s thoroughly coated.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  6. Remove the meat from the marinade and discard leftover liquid.
  7. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and grill the meat until desired doneness, about 5-7 minutes per side.
