Delicious and nutritious pop-tarts filled with your choice of hearty scrambled eggs, melty cheese, and more, ideal for a protein-packed breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup protein powder
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fillings of choice (e.g., scrambled eggs, cheese, spinach, turkey)
  • Egg wash (1 egg beaten with a splash of water)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, protein powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in Greek yogurt and water until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into rectangles, about 3×5 inches.
  6. Place your favorite fillings on half of the rectangles, leaving a border around the edges.
  7. Top with the remaining rectangles and press to seal.
  8. Brush the tops with the egg wash.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before enjoying.
