A perfect blend of sweet and savory, this Honey Garlic Butter Chicken served with creamy mac and cheese is a comforting dish that brings back fond memories.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Chicken thighs or breasts
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 cups Macaroni
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Milk
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Optional: breadcrumbs for topping

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  2. In a pan over medium heat, melt butter until it begins to froth slightly.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add your chicken pieces to the pan. Sear them until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, stir in honey and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, coating the chicken in a sweet glaze.
  6. In a separate pot, combine the cooked macaroni, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir continuously over low heat until the cheese melts and the mixture is creamy.
  7. Plate your creamy mac and cheese and top each serving with the honey garlic butter chicken, letting the sweet glaze drizzle down.
  8. For an added crunch, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the chicken and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Serve warm!

Notes

For best flavor, marinate chicken in honey and garlic for up to an hour. Adjust milk during reheating for creamy mac and cheese.
