Ingredients

  • Bread (sourdough or white)
  • Ham
  • Cheese (Gruyère or Emmental)
  • Eggs
  • Butter
  • Milk
  • Flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt some butter over medium heat. Add flour to create a roux. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened, then season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
