A comforting dish of juicy meatballs simmered in rich, savory gravy, perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside.
  5. Add sliced onion to the same skillet and sauté until soft and translucent.
  6. Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a simmer.
  7. Return meatballs to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  8. If desired, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry and add to the gravy to thicken.
  9. Serve the meatballs and gravy over creamy mashed potatoes.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine to the gravy. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
