A comforting casserole that combines fluffy biscuits, hearty sausage, and creamy gravy, perfect for busy mornings and easy to prepare the night before.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Bulk Breakfast Sausage (hot or mild)
  • 1/3 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Whole Milk (room temperature)
  • 6 large Eggs
  • 1 tube Refrigerated Biscuits (cut into quarters)
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese (sharp or mozzarella)
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoning Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Make the gravy by adding flour, stirring, and then whisking in milk until thickened (3-5 minutes).
  3. Whisk together eggs, seasoning salt, black pepper, dry mustard, and paprika in a separate bowl.
  4. Combine the sausage gravy into the egg mixture until well mixed.
  5. Prepare a greased baking dish by scattering quartered biscuits on the bottom.
  6. Assemble the casserole by pouring the sausage-egg mixture over the biscuits.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top.
  8. Refrigerate overnight, covered with plastic wrap.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Feel free to mix in sautéed veggies or switch cheeses for a different flavor. Ensure biscuits are fresh for best results.
