  • 3/4 cup (150 grams) brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup (150 grams) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups (283 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (340 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl. Cream until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the vanilla extract and two large eggs, beating well after each addition.
  4. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture while mixing on low speed.
  6. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers look slightly underbaked.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
