Enjoy an authentic Philly cheesesteak at home with juicy ribeye, sautéed onions and peppers, and melty provolone cheese, all nestled in a warm hoagie roll.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced Ribeye steak
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup thinly sliced peppers
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter. Once melted, add the diced onions and thinly sliced peppers. Sauté until softened.
  2. Add the thinly sliced Ribeye steak to the skillet and cook until browned.
  3. Preheat the hoagie rolls lightly in another pan or in the oven until warm.
  4. Top the cooked steak with provolone cheese until melted.
  5. Place the cheesy steak mixture into the toasted hoagie rolls and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with crispy fries or a light salad. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days.
