Delicious homemade protein bars that are nutty, sweet, and customizable, perfect for snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, etc.)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the oats, nut butter, honey, vanilla extract, and salt until combined.
  2. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts or seeds.
  3. Press the mixture into a lined 8×8 inch baking dish.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
  5. Once set, cut into bars and enjoy.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for up to three months with parchment paper between layers.
