Pillowy soft cloverleaf rolls perfect for any meal, ideal for soaking up gravy or enjoying with honey butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 to 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Stir in the melted butter, salt, eggs, and 2 cups of flour. Mix until well combined.
  3. Gradually add more flour, kneading until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide it into small pieces. Shape each piece into a ball, and then shape it into three balls to create a cloverleaf shape.
  6. Place the shaped rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Brush with melted butter before serving.

Notes

For a special treat, pair these rolls with a homemade honey butter spread.
