A comforting dish of tender ribeye steak served with a rich homemade gravy, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Mashed potatoes (for serving)
  • Your favorite vegetable (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steaks with salt and pepper and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  2. Prepare the gravy base: In the same skillet, add butter and whisk in flour until it forms a paste.
  3. Thicken the gravy: Gradually add beef broth while stirring, and cook until the gravy thickens.
  4. Serve the steak: Slice the steak and serve with gravy poured over the top, alongside mashed potatoes and your favorite vegetable.

Notes

Allow steaks to rest to lock in juices and enhance flavor.
