Scale
2 ribeye steaks
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Mashed potatoes (for serving)
Your favorite vegetable (for serving)
Instructions
Heat the skillet: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steaks with salt and pepper and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare. Remove from skillet and let rest.
Prepare the gravy base: In the same skillet, add butter and whisk in flour until it forms a paste.
Thicken the gravy: Gradually add beef broth while stirring, and cook until the gravy thickens.
Serve the steak: Slice the steak and serve with gravy poured over the top, alongside mashed potatoes and your favorite vegetable.
Notes
Allow steaks to rest to lock in juices and enhance flavor.
