  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 cup water chestnuts, diced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 head of butter lettuce, leaves separated
  • Optional toppings: chopped peanuts, sesame seeds, and cilantro

Instructions

  1. Sauté the chicken: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger; stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and hoisin sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add in the diced water chestnuts and chopped green onions, mixing everything together well.
