A warm and decadent bread pudding with rich chocolate flavor and the unmistakable warmth of Baileys Irish Cream. Perfect for chilly evenings or special gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of bread (brioche or challah)
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of Baileys Irish Cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the bread into cubes and place in a greased baking dish, filling it generously.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, Baileys, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring each piece is well soaked and absorbs the delightful flavors.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and lightly stir them into the mixture for that extra burst of chocolate.
  6. Bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is beautifully golden-brown.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy this warm treat, possibly topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Notes

Use day-old brioche or challah for the best results. Can be prepared the night before for a hassle-free dessert.
