Comforting and flavorful baked meatballs, perfect for serving over spaghetti or with crusty bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in size, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  5. In the last few minutes of baking, sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top and return to the oven until melted.
  6. Serve with marinara sauce on the side, perfect for dipping or spooning on top.

Notes

Use a mix of ground meats for added flavor, and incorporate finely chopped veggies for a healthier twist.
