This creamy banana bread pudding is rich, indulgent, and incredibly easy to make, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 4 cups bread, cubed (French or brioche)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Mix the mashed bananas, bread cubes, and ground cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the heavy cream, milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt in another bowl until combined.
  4. Pour the cream mixture over the banana and bread mixture, gently folding until the bread is soaked.
  5. Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the liquid.
  6. Transfer the soaked mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden on top.
  8. Serve warm, optionally with whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.

Notes

For best flavor, use very ripe bananas. You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
