A quick and easy stir-fry that balances savory beef and fresh broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef flank steak, sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix your sauce: In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth. Set it aside.
  2. Brown the beef: Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat, then add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir-fry the broccoli and garlic: Add garlic and broccoli to the pan and stir-fry for about 2 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.
  4. Combine with sauce: Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli, stirring gently to coat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Season and serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve over rice.

Notes

For best results, slice the flank steak against the grain for tenderness. Use fresh broccoli for the best texture and flavor.
