Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds pork tenderloin
4 slices bacon
1/2 cup bourbon
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Combine marinade ingredients: In a bowl, combine the bourbon, brown sugar, and BBQ sauce. Add the pork tenderloins and allow them to marinate for at least 2 hours, or even better, overnight.
Preheat your oven: When you’re ready to cook, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the pork: Once marinated, pat the tenderloins dry and season generously with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Wrap with bacon: Wrap each tenderloin snugly with bacon, securing them with toothpicks if necessary.
Sear the tenderloins: In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the bacon-wrapped tenderloins on all sides until the bacon crisps.
Brush with BBQ sauce: Transfer the seared tenderloins to a baking dish and brush them with the remaining BBQ sauce.
Bake to perfection: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Rest and serve: Let the pork rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with reserved BBQ sauce.
Notes
For an extra crunchy finish, consider broiling the tenderloin in the last few minutes of baking.
