Stir in the sausage and chicken, cooking until browned.
Add diced tomatoes, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for at least 30 minutes.
Remove bay leaves and serve gumbo over cooked rice, garnished with chopped green onions.
