A delightful blend of bold Cajun flavors and creamy textures in a pasta dish that will transport you to Southern comfort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (red, green, or yellow)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the Olive Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Sauté the Shrimp: Add the shrimp and Cajun seasoning to the skillet. Cook until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the Bell Peppers: Add the sliced bell peppers and cook for another 2 minutes until they soften slightly.
  5. Create the Creamy Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
  7. Season to Perfection: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp; they cook quickly and become rubbery if left too long. Feel free to use any pasta shape.
