A delicious California Chicken Club sandwich with crispy bacon, creamy avocado, and juicy grilled chicken on toasted whole wheat bread.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 4 slices of tomato
  • 4 slices of avocado
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 4 leaves of romaine lettuce
  • 4 slices of whole wheat bread
  • Mayonnaise to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the seasoned chicken breasts over medium-high heat until fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  3. Crisp the bacon in a separate pan until crispy, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Toast the whole wheat bread slices until golden brown.
  5. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
  6. Assemble your sandwich with layers of lettuce, tomato, avocado, Swiss cheese, chicken, and bacon.
  7. Complete the sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, mayonnaise side down, and cut in half.

Notes

For juicy chicken, marinate for a couple of hours before grilling. Use different spreads like pesto for variation.
