Deliciously soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies made with a secret ingredient: instant vanilla pudding mix.

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  4. Beat in the instant pudding mix until well combined.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spaced apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  10. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week. Add a slice of bread in the container to keep them soft.
