Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 large head Green Cabbage, chopped into 1-inch squares
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Cottage Cheese (full fat recommended)
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (divided)
  • 1 Large Egg

Instructions

  1. Sauté the cabbage in olive oil over medium-high heat for 10–12 minutes until browned.
  2. Brown the ground beef and onion in a separate skillet until fully cooked.
  3. Blend the cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Mix the sautéed cabbage, browned beef, creamy sauce, and half of the cheddar cheese in a large baking dish.
  6. Garnish with the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbling and golden.
  8. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

This dish can be served alone or with a side salad. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
