  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Add lemon juice and zest.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Serve over pasta or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add capers or sun-dried tomatoes to the sauce. Use boneless, skinless chicken breasts for even cooking.
