Ingredients
Scale
12–16 Jumbo Pasta Shells
1 pound Ground Beef
15 ounces Ricotta Cheese
1 large Egg
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
2 cups Marinara Sauce
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
Instructions
Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Gently add the jumbo pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool.
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Use a wooden spoon to break the meat apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper, and stir until evenly browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess grease and remove from heat.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Stir until well blended.
Take each cooled pasta shell and carefully spoon in the filling mixture, placing them in a baking dish in a single layer.
Once all shells are stuffed, cover with marinara sauce and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with a salad and garlic bread. Can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge or frozen.
