A quick and flavorful dish featuring fresh salmon baked with lemon and capers for a light, zesty meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fillets Salmon (Fresh, skin-on pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice (Freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tablespoons Capers (Drained)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper (Freshly ground)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (Chopped)
  • 1 whole Lemon (Sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the baking dish by drizzling olive oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper, skin-side down in the baking dish.
  4. Create the flavor base by mixing minced garlic, drained capers, lemon juice, and olive oil in a bowl.
  5. Apply the caper and garlic mixture generously over each fillet.
  6. Add sliced lemons on top of the salmon for moisture and brightness.
  7. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley on top before serving warm.

Notes

Fresh salmon is key; use wild-caught for best flavor. Feel free to substitute capers with olives or sun-dried tomatoes.
