  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  3. Dip chicken pieces in buttermilk.
  4. Coat the buttermilk-dripping chicken in the flour mixture until fully covered.
  5. Arrange the coated chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Meanwhile, mix together sweet chili sauce, sriracha, soy sauce, and vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  8. Toss the baked chicken in the sauce until well coated.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with green onions.

Notes

Make sure to not overcrowd the baking sheet for even cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
