A flavorful ribeye steak seared in a cast iron skillet with garlic and butter, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme), optional

Instructions

  1. Bring the ribeye steaks to room temperature and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until it’s nice and hot.
  3. Add the steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the desired doneness is reached.
  4. Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  5. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks as they cook.
  6. Remove the steaks from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Ensure your skillet is adequately preheated for a good sear. Avoid overcrowding the skillet.
