A lighter twist on the traditional stroganoff, featuring ground turkey, mushrooms, and a creamy sauce, perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice, for serving
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until fragrant and translucent.
  3. Toss in the sliced mushrooms and cook until browned.
  4. Push the vegetables to one side and add the ground turkey, breaking it up and cooking until browned.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring well; bring to a simmer.
  6. Reduce the heat and mix in the sour cream until heated through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of broth or water if needed.
