A delicious homemade stromboli filled with gooey cheese, savory meats, and vibrant vegetables, all wrapped in a golden, flaky crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  2. Layer the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, crumbled sausage, bell peppers, and onions on the rolled-out dough. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning for that extra flavor kick.
  3. Roll the dough tightly starting from one end to create a log. Be sure to pinch the ends to seal in all the deliciousness!
  4. Prepare the stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet. Brush the top with olive oil and beaten egg to achieve a beautifully golden finish.
  5. Vent the stromboli by making a few slits on top to allow steam to escape during baking.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the stromboli is golden brown and irresistibly fragrant.
  7. Cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve with marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy the crispy exterior and the melty, flavorful filling!

Notes
