  • 2 cups long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet by adding olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat. Once shimmering, add chicken seasoned with spices.
  2. Prepare the honey BBQ sauce in a small bowl by whisking honey and barbecue sauce together. Pour over the cooked chicken and let it simmer.
  3. Cook the rice by boiling chicken broth in a pot. Add rice, cover, and cook until tender.
  4. Combine the cooked rice with the chicken and sauce, mixing everything together until coated.
