Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Honey (Use raw or runny honey)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Ginger (Grated finely)
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil (For a fragrant note)
  • 4 legs Duck Legs (Well-marbled and fresh)
  • Salt (Generously season, to taste)
  • Black Pepper (Freshly cracked, to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons Spring Onions (Thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds (For sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the marinade in a medium-sized bowl with honey, ginger, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, and sesame oil.
  2. Pat the duck legs dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper before placing them in the marinade.
  3. Cover the duck legs in the marinade; let them sit for 30 minutes or longer in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for optimal cooking.
  5. Place the marinated duck legs in a roasting pan and roast for 45-55 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving, garnished with spring onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Ensure the duck legs are dry before marinating for extra crispiness. You can marinate in advance for better flavor.
