A high-protein comfort food featuring succulent chicken thighs marinated in a fiery gochujang sauce, perfect for a cozy meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix gochujang, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger to create a luscious marinade that will bring all the flavors together beautifully.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then place them in the marinade. Allow them to soak up those fantastic flavors for at least 30 minutes – the longer, the better!
  3. Heat the Skillet: In a skillet over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil. It’s time to get that pan sizzling!
  4. Cook the Chicken: Remove chicken thighs from the marinade (remember to reserve the leftover marinade!) and cook the thighs for about 5-7 minutes on each side. You’re looking for them to be cooked through and beautifully caramelized.
  5. Add the Sauce: Pour the reserved marinade into the pan and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. This allows the sauce to thicken up and coat the chicken perfectly.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve your vibrant Honey Gochujang Chicken over a generous scoop of cooked rice, and don’t forget to spoon some of that luscious sauce over it. Enjoy each bite!

Notes

Let the chicken marinate properly for maximum flavor. For a less spicy option, reduce the amount of gochujang or balance it with more honey.
