2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (1 ounce) packet ranch seasoning mix
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sear both sides until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker. Top it with cream cheese, ranch seasoning mix, and water.
Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is fork-tender.
Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks, and stir into the creamy mixture.
Fold in the crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped green onions until melted and warm.
