A creamy and cheesy twist on the classic shrimp au gratin, perfect for keto dieters.

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the shrimp in a skillet with olive oil, seasoning them with salt, pepper, and paprika for 2-3 minutes until pink.
  3. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet for about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, simmer, and add half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Mix until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
  7. Combine the cooked shrimp back into the skillet, stirring to coat them in the sauce.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  9. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
  11. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Make sure to rest the dish for a few minutes after baking for better serving. You can substitute shrimp with other seafood or chicken if desired.
