  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil a pot of salted water, add elbow macaroni, and cook until al dente.
  2. Make the Roux: Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, and cook until golden.
  3. Prepare the Cheese Sauce: Gradually whisk in milk, simmer, and stir in seasonings.
  4. Melt the Cheddar and Monterey Jack: Remove from heat and mix in the cheeses until melted.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Fold together macaroni, lobster, and cheese sauce.
  6. Optional Topping: Mix breadcrumbs with olive oil and salt.
  7. Bake to Perfection: Transfer mixture to a greased dish, top with breadcrumbs, and bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.

Notes

For extra richness, mix in gruyere or fontina cheese. You can substitute lobster with shrimp or crab. Gluten-free pasta is an option as well.
