Delightful bite-sized versions of traditional shepherd’s pie, perfect for gatherings and easy to enjoy on the go.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of pastry cups
  • 1 pound ground beef or lamb
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef or lamb over medium heat until browned.
  3. Sauté the diced onions and minced garlic until translucent.
  4. Toss in the peas and diced carrots, cooking until tender.
  5. Stir in the dried thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  6. Fill each pastry cup with the meat and vegetable mixture.
  7. Spoon a generous amount of creamy mashed potatoes over each cup.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
