Delightful baked strawberry cheesecake rolls filled with creamy goodness and fresh strawberries, perfect for any occasion.

  • 275 g Frischkäse (cream cheese)
  • 50 g Zucker (sugar)
  • 1 Ei (egg)
  • 1 TL Vanilleextrakt (vanilla extract)
  • 1 EL Speisestärke (cornstarch)
  • 100 ml Schlagsahne (heavy cream)
  • 200 g Erdbeeren (strawberries)
  • 1 Blatt Blätterteig (puff pastry)
  • 1 Ei zum Bestreichen (egg for brushing)
  • 1 EL Milch zum Bestreichen (milk for brushing)
  • 1 EL Puderzucker zum Bestäuben (powdered sugar for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 °C (356 °F) with top and bottom heat to ensure even baking.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, cornstarch, and heavy cream until it forms a smooth and airy cream.
  3. Wash the strawberries thoroughly, remove their green stems, and chop them into small cubes.
  4. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry with a rolling pin to an even thickness.
  5. Spread the creamy filling evenly across the pastry, ensuring you leave a little border around the edges.
  6. Starting from one of the longer sides, roll the pastry tightly to create a log. Then, cut the log into approximately 3 cm thick slices.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Brush this mixture generously over each of the rolls.
  8. Bake the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Let the rolls cool slightly, then dust them lightly with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, and consider using other fruits or creamy fillings for variety.
